Habitat for Humanity ReStores are retail outlets that make available new and gently used building, home improvement materials and other home goods at a fraction of normal prices. Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Connecticut established a ReStore in 2005 to help fund the construction of our Habitat houses. Materials sold by our Habitat ReStore are donated by building supply stores, contractors, manufacturers, and individuals. In addition to raising funds, our ReStore helps the environment by putting useable materials into use instead of into landfills. The Habitat for Humanity of Northeast Connecticut ReStore is a thrift store with a simple premise - by selling donated building materials and home goods, we can fund the construction of more Habitat homes in the ten town area of Northeast Connecticut !
Our ReStore is located at 171 Providence Street in Putnam, CT, and is a flourishing hub of building material recycling and merchandise exchange. Because all the materials in the ReStore have been donated by local contractors, manufacturers and individuals, we can sell our merchandise to the public at 30-75% below the lowest retail price.
Call us at (860) 928-2200 to find out more.
The benefits of buying your DIY project materials from our ReStore are endless! Homeowners and investment property owners alike can acquire quality, one-of-a-kind building materials and home goods at a fraction of the cost and all proceeds from the store directly fund the construction of more Habitat homes. This furthers our mission of eliminating substandard, poverty housing in the Northeast Corner of Connecticut!
We promote recycling! Often, when contractors have finished with a job, they're left with unused materials which are thrown away because there's no place to store them. What a waste! This is where the ReStore comes to the rescue! We keep reusable goods in circulation, and out of our landfills.
The ReStore's hours of operation are:
Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
